A BDSM dungeon is typically a room, or series of connected rooms, which are equipped for BDSM activities. Sometimes they are sound-proofed.

Typically, a dungeon will contain:

  • Dungeon fixtures,
  • Dungeon furniture, and
  • Dungeon equipment

  • A toilet
  • A wash-basin (for cleaning up after a scene
  • Anchor points on the walls and ceiling for ropes or chains during bondage

  • Soap
  • Sexual lubricant
  • Disinfectant, latex gloves and dams (see infection)
  • Bandages, antiseptic, and other first-aid equipment
  • Scissors (such as trauma shears, particularly for quickly releasing someone from bondage in an emergency)
  • Chairs and tables
  • Sound system (for mood music or sound effects)
