A BDSM dungeon is typically a room, or series of connected rooms, which are equipped for BDSM activities. Sometimes they are sound-proofed.

Typically, a dungeon will contain:

• Dungeon fixtures,
• Dungeon furniture, and
• Dungeon equipment

Dungeon fixtures

• A toilet
• A wash-basin (for cleaning up after a scene
• Anchor points on the walls and ceiling for ropes or chains during bondage

Dungeon furniture

• St. Andrew's Cross or X-Frame
• A-Frame
• Spanking bench
• Suspension frame

Dungeon equipment

Floggers Chains Whips Crops Handcuffs and leg cuffs Spreader bars Paddles Knives and scalpels (see cutting) Hypodermic needle tips (see piercing)
