A pain slut is someone whose preferences in terms of BDSM activities are driven mainly by the amount of pain involved.

Sometimes they look for the pain as:

• Catharsis,
• Physiological release,
• An endurance test, or
• As an intense form of penetration, possibly as a prelude to sex.
