Temperature play

Temperature play is a type of sensation play based around temperatures which are either significantly hotter than the ambient, or significantly colder than the ambient.

An example of using heat might be where a bottom or submissive is tied naked to a frame and then a bare flame (such as from a cigarette lighter) is brought near their nipple.

An example of cold might be chilling a knife blade and then running it across someone's bare skin to create the feeling of cutting.
