Each of the Marketplace series novels tells the stories of members of an international, loosely-bound community of masters, slaves, trainers and owners known as The Marketplace.
Generally each book deals with particular incidents in the lives of a group of characters, such as the period of introduction into the Marketplace and training for a small number of slaves, a week-long reunion of slaves and former slaves, an international meeting of masters, and so on.
I found them all consistently and eminently readable and enjoyable. However, Antoniou chose to have other authors write some of the chapters of The Academy, and I found these to be a distraction from the plot Antoniou herself was weaving.
That said, the books in the series have all been excellent company on my various travels.

This is the first of the Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice (writing under a pseudonym). They tell the highly erotic story of what happens to Sleeping Beauty of the fairy tale after she is woken by her prince and carried away with him on his horse to the castle of his mother. He is not the pure-hearted guy we would like our kids to think he is! Beauty is chained, imprisoned, whipped, panked and otherwise degraded in most manners imaginable and some not. Very hot! The other two books in the series are Beauty's Punishment and Beauty's Release.

This was---many, many years ago---my introduction to Transactional Analysis, a way of looking at and understanding what goes on between two people as they interact. What goes on between two people engaged in BDSM is also amenable to Transactional Analysis, and for people interested in knowing why relationships go off the rails, this book can be a big help.
